About Ministry of Health Schools Health Fiesta

The Ministry of Health and the Environment hosts its Schools Health Fiesta on Thursday February 9, 2017. The annual health fair provides free health screening and health education to school age children in the surrounding communities. This years' event will be hosted at the Piggott's Primary School between the hours of 8am to 2pm. MED 3 STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VOLUNTEER AT THIS COMMUNITY EVENT between the hours of 8:30am to 11:30am. Please choose ONE TASK from the list below to register as a volunteer. Note that if you do not choose a task your volunteer hours may not be counted. NOTE THAT Transportation to and from the venue will be provided, THE BUS LEAVES CAMPUS AT 8AM AND RETURNS FROM PIGGOTTS AT 11:30AM. Mandatory orientation for volunteers will take place on Wednesday February 8th at 4:30pm in Classroom 5.

Application Process

Choose 1 task to register as a volunteer. Faculty please choose the task 'Faculty Supervisor'. Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately and to wear their white coats with the AUA emblem AND ID BADGES. Please also ensure you bring along your BP cuff, stethoscope and pen.
