About World Health Day - Diabetic Health Fiesta
The wellness committee in the Ministry of Health and the Environment will be celebrating World Health Day on April 7th with a Diabetic Fiesta at The King George V Recreation Grounds in St John's from 10am to 5 pm.
The WHO has declared diabetes as the focus of this day due to the world wide epidemic of diabetes and it's associated economic burden. This event is open to the public and is aimed at bringing awareness and education to individuals in an effort to improve prevention and management of diabetes.
Student and Faculty volunteers are required for a variety of tasks.
Application Process
Please CHOOSE ONE TASK to register for - there are 8 tasks. Click on 'view more' to see all of them. Note that if you do not choose a task your volunteer hours may not be logged. All volunteers must be professionally dressed and must wear their white coats with AUA emblem. Remember to bring along your pens, stethoscopes and BP cuffs.
