June 7, 2018 CPR Awareness Walk
Hosted by: American University of Antigua
About June 7, 2018 CPR Awareness Walk
CPR and AED Awareness week, an initiative of the American Heart Association (AHA), is recognized every year from June 1st to 7th. The Emergency Medicine Training Center of the American University of Antigua welcomes the opportunity to bring awareness to the residents of Antigua and Barbuda of the importance of hands only CPR and AEDs in saving lives. We are of the firm belief that this undertaking is of great importance because the life you save could be the life of someone you love.
This year we will be hosting a week of activities including demonstrations in schools and businesses across the island. Most notably, on Thursday 7th June, 2018, there will be an awareness walk through St. John’s commencing at 4:00 pm and culminating with a short presentation at the Dredges Cricket ground; students, staff and faculty are invited to join. Our goal is to ensure that “CPR & AED Saves Lives” is brought across the nation.
