About Breast Cancer Screening
Founded in 1998 Breast Friends is a survivors initiative which provides emotional support to breast cancer patients, survivors, their families and friends through the sharing of information and experiences. The support group educates the public and promotes awareness of breast health with an emphasis on early detection of breast cancer.
The AUA Oncology Interest Group has partnered with Breast Friends along with the Lion's Club of Antigua to offer free breast cancer screening from 7am to 2pm on Saturday October 8, 2016 . Volunteers will be needed for a variety of tasks and MED 3 STUDENTS, STAFF and FACULTY members are invited to take advantage of this volunteer opportunity by choosing one task.
Transportation will be provided as follows:
Departs AUA Campus to Cancer Centre at 7:15am & 10:15am
Departs Cancer Centre to AUA Campus at 10:30am & 2pm
MANDATORY Orientation will take place on Thursday October 6th from 12-12:30pm in SGT21.
Application Process
Med 3 students please CHOOSE ONLY ONE TASK (there are 10 in total) click 'view more' to see all 10. Faculty members please choose the task labelled 'Faculty Supervisors'. Staff please choose the task 'Ushers'. ATTEND THE ORIENTATION on Thursday October 6th from 12-12:30pm in SGT23.
