Purpose: Assist the Red Cross in delivering its mission by educating community members, organizations, and agencies on how to prevent and prepare for emergencies
Primary responsibilities:
*Distribute preparedness information packets at community events
*Promote and conduct Disaster Education presentations in the community, involving public speaking, booth support, or a combination of the two
*Continue training and education on a regular basis to keep presentation skills and knowledge base current
Time Commitment/Availability: Scheduled as needed.

Application Process
Apply to volunteer with the Red Cross at the following link: http://rdcrss.org/1jwIkp1 Then, enter your zip code, and when the next page appears, click “Michigan Region.” From there, choose “Prospective Adult Volunteer” (Or youth, if appropriate). Then, you can enter your personal information to apply to volunteer. You have the option of registering a facebook page at that point. Concurrently, you will need to consent to a background check. When all that's completed, we'll call you for an intake interview, and place you in the need of ours that fits your interests and skills best!
Training: Training will be provided to all interested volunteers.
