About Service to the Armed Forces Caseworker

This opportunity is primarily managing cases of emergency communications from actively-serving military personnel. These communications may involve a service member requesting leave for death/sickness in the family, financial assistance, etc. The volunteer follows up with the client, typically someone from the service member's family, to check on and log the status of the case and determine if the Red Cross may be of further assistance.

Time and location for volunteering are very flexible. The opportunity is located Airline Rd, Columbus, MS 39701, but volunteers may work from anywhere with phone & Internet-enabled PC.

Go to http://www.redcross.org/local/mississippi/volunteer. Scroll down to around the middle of the page and click on "Volunteer Application." Just fill it out and submit it, and someone from Red Cross Volunteer Services should be in touch with you soon to start your orientation. If not, you can contact me and I will help get it resolved.
