About COME SAVE A LIFE! Sound the Alarm- Alexandria City

WHAT WE'LL DO:
The biggest disaster threats to American families aren't floods, hurricanes or tornadoes – home fires are. A home fire can strike anywhere, anytime, devastating families. But together, we are changing that.
Working with fire departments and other partners, volunteers deploy as teams into the neighborhood to install free 10-year smoke alarms and replace smoke alarm batteries. These events are outdoor canvassing events, so please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Volunteers may serve as a smoke alarm installer, educator or documenter for this event.
