About Profile and Hours Management Volunteer-Laurel

Champion volunteer hours entry into Volunteer Connection, our online volunteer management system.
• Proactively reach out to volunteers to encourage them to keep their volunteer profiles up to date in Volunteer Connection.
• Monitor volunteer login rates and profile updates.
• Assist volunteers who have little/no computer access by collecting volunteer hours from departments or volunteer for data entry into Volunteer Connection.
• Encourage volunteers who have little to no hours reported to update their profiles.
• Monitor hours submitted to remind supervisors to approve designated volunteer hours bi-weekly or monthly.
Time Commitment:
2 to 3 hours per month
Qualifications:
Broad understanding of the American Red Cross and its opportunities for volunteer service.
• Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs.
• Ability to work with computer database (training provided)
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable making phone calls to volunteers
Relationships
Partners with Volunteer Management Team and business lines and department supervisors.
Length of Appointment
1 year, renewable

The Volunteer Profile and Hours Management Coordinator receives support, guidance, and encouragement from the Volunteer Management Team. He or she has access to relevant learning opportunities and materials that prepare for and support this role.

Data management and hours collection is needed to ensure the organization understands and measures the impact made by our volunteer workforce.
