•Support the Red Cross mission
•In office setting: Greet visitors, giving directions and answering questions as appropriate. Answer phones and forward calls. Perform support and clerical duties.
•Serve as a friendly face of the Red Cross. Be knowledgeable of Red Cross programs and be able to answer any questions.
•Maintain professionalism and conduct as stated in Red Cross policy.
•Ensure that volunteer hours are tracked per Red Cross policy.

Application Process

To become a volunteer with the American Red Cross you would need to complete an application. This application is found at http://www.redcross.org/mississippi/volunteer. This takes you directly to the Volunteer Application page found on the Red Cross website. Completion of the application consists of registering for orientation, reading and agreeing to the code of conducts and policies of the Red Cross, and completion a background check.
