Every dollar raised in this campaign will support domestic violence services at the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County
At Alpha Chi Omega, we are dedicated to supporting survivors of violence, and to actively changing the way we talk about and deal with abuse. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime. On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide. Domestic violence affects people of all backgrounds and all ages, and it hurts our entire community.
Throughout the month of October, Alpha Chis are raising awareness of domestic violence in our community, and raising money for the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County.The Advocacy Center provides support and services to youth and adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse in Tompkins County, NY. They also provide education and prevention workshops for teens, college students, community members and professionals to help our community identify, interrupt and prevent domestic and sexual violence.
