We need volunteers to help with:
General handyperson
With the building and opening of the new rehabilitation center, handyperson chores are unlimited. We will be building large animal enclosures behind the building so anyone with an interest in the tool trades, please come help us! Plumbers and builders encouraged!
Transporting food and animals
Requires use of personal vehicle to pick up animals and bring them to the center, transport animals to release sites, and pick up donated supplies and groceries.
Providing medical support
Requires specific experience and training and can include subq and IM injections, setting fractures, determining dosage, compounding medications, administering medications, wound care, diagnostics including fecal, and maintaining documentation. Vet techs wanted.
Preparing nutritious food for animal patients
Following the dietary guidelines for each animal based on their age and species, mixing formula, chopping fruits and vegetables, cutting up meat, serving animals, and cleaning dishes.
Insuring a healthy environment
Cleaning and disinfecting cages, doing laundry, sweeping and mopping the building, and general cleaning duties in the center.
