About Volunteer with the Society

Love tanks? Curious about what’s going on with the locomotive restoration? Passionate about educating people about history, science and education? Volunteer with the Society!

Some of our volunteers even go on to pursue their volunteer areas professionally, so whether you're interested in a education-related career or just want to get your feet—and hands—wet in the world of science, the Society is the perfect place to volunteer your time and energy.

Volunteers make this project possible. Starting from a raw space many people have helped clean and prepare the facility for the Grand Opening June 10, 2012. They will also make it possible to reopen our doors and grow in the future.
