About AK MEMBERS’ VOLUNTEER COUNCIL
A dynamic and dedicated group of men and women who volunteer their time and talents to support the activities of the Education, Development, Membership, Corporate Relations, and Special Events Departments at the Albright-Knox, the AK Members’ Volunteer Council sustains a legacy of volunteerism at the museum that has existed for more than one hundred and fifty years.
The AK Members’ Volunteer Council meets regularly to engage and inform Members about museum projects/work opportunities and for educational, social, and enrichment activities to engage and excite the group. All Council volunteers are asked to fulfill at least two volunteer assignments per semester (four per year).
The AK Members’ Volunteer Council supports a wide range of AK programs and activities, including the Annual Meeting, M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY, Members' Receptions, After Hours @ AK events, Art Alive, and the museum's summer and fall fundraising events.
For more information on joining the AK Members’ Volunteer Council, please contact the Development Office at 716 270.8252.
