About Internships with APLA

APLA is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease, reducing the incidence of HIV infection, and advocating for fair and effective HIV public policy.

We are now accepting resumes for the following positions:
1) Case Management Intern-- Registration, Assessment, Service Planning, Referrals, Transportation and Deaf Services
2) Dental Clinic Intern-- The Greene/LeBaron Dental Treatment Center offers preventive, emergency, and restorative dental treatment to HIV Symptomatic / AIDS diagnosed clients
3) Mental Health Intern-- Crisis Intervention, Psychosocial Assessment, Neuropsychiaric Testing, Individual/Couple/Family Therapy and Support Groups
4) Office Services Intern-- Provide office service volunteer control to a variable daily crew that accomplishes a variety of tasks, from deploying appropriate volunteers as agency support as needed to accurately completing office service work request and office projects
5) Shared Action Intern-- develop skills in behavioral intervention models applied to HIV prevention: adopting, adapting, implementing, evaluating programs. In addition to research and evaluation as it applies to HIV/AIDS services, policy, health education, and health promotion
6) Special Events Intern-- work with the Program Manager of Volunteer Resources to staff, deploy and oversee volunteers at APLA’s various events
