About Giving Tuesday

In 2020, AUA launched a number of new and exciting programs, all designed by and for Chicago's urban agriculture community! Here are a few of our highlights from this year:

Launched the Farmer to Farmer Mentorship Program

Established the COVID-19 Farmer Support Grant, granting over $120,000 to urban farms and community gardens.
Launched the Grown In Chicago Online Assessment Tool for urban farms.

Established the Capacity Building Grant, designed to help urban farm businesses scale up their operations and expand programming efforts.

All of the money raised during Giving Tuesday will go directly to programs designed to empower urban growers to foster thriving communities through sustainable agriculture and equitable food systems.
