About Laundry Extraordinaire

The general responsibilities of the Laundry Extraordinaire may include:
Wash/Dry/Fold our animal laundry
Maintain a neat and orderly laundry area
Ensure each exam room is fully stocked with clean linens daily
Ensure residents have clean fleeces on cage cleaning day
Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
Other responsibilities may arise when you discover your extraordinary expertise!

Requirements for all volunteers at Acorn Acres:
Must be at least 25 years of age and possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have reliable transportation and be lawfully licensed to operate.
Must commit to schedule of at least 4 hours, same day, same shift, weekly for a minimum of 6 months.
Must be willing to work in all conditions, including outdoors. Must be able to stand for your entire shift.
Must be prompt and dress appropriately for working conditions.
Must be able to work independently.
Must sign a volunteer agreement, waiver of liability, and complete a (free) state background check.
