About Virtual Fundraiser for Ann Sandell School

The Ann Sandell School is located in Paynesville, Liberia on Police Academy Road and was established in 1998 by Leabeh Gboko-Gbowee, as an outgrowth of a tutoring and counseling program for children in her neighborhood who could not afford to attend school. Pastor Ann Sandell of Love Power Ministry in Minnesota, USA provided the funds for the construction of the first classroom block and the school was named after her. There are now thirteen structures on the campus, serving over 1000 underprivileged children, some of whom were orphaned by the war.
