About South Africa: Teaching Missions

Less than 10% of black youth graduating from Grade 12 enter Universities in South Africa. The University entrance rate is even significantly lower for Orphaned & Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in both rural and black urban communities.

This program is taking a leadership role in the township of Tembisa to increase the chances for OVC entrance into Tertiary Education. The Goal: to prevent “recycling” OVCs back into poverty post matriculation.
