About Open My World Therapeutic Riding Center: Volunteer Details

Open My World is always looking for people who have a special love for children and individuals with disabilities. Our life-changing work cannot happen without the time and support of our amazing volunteers. Many volunteers are needed in order to maintain the level of safety required by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (P.A.T.H.) during our lessons. You don't have to have any horse experience, our staff holds volunteer trainings that will teach you all you need to know!

There are many different ways that you can volunteer to help at Open My World. Our client sessions require horse leaders and side walkers. (To work with clients, we ask that volunteers be 15+ years old). We need volunteers for our feed team-- who happen to be our horses' favorite people! We hold workdays for volunteer groups to help us maintain our facilities and sensory trails. Open My World would not be able to provide services to our phenomenal clients without the support of our volunteers.
