This year, the St. Mary of the Assumption (SMA) School community is celebrating the 16th anniversary of our Walkathon! Through the generosity of many, there have been investments in our school—from enhanced technology, security, and communications; to student learning through field trips; and so much more—all funded by our Walkathon.
Last year's Walkathon funds came at a crucial time. During remote learning, it was apparent that our Chromebooks were outdated. Fortunately, we were able to purchase 80 NEW Chromebooks heading into this school year. Grades 4-8 are now using technology on a 1:1 basis. We have made improvements in our school and some are still in the works - like the timeframe for refreshing our primary classrooms that has been pushed back due to COVID-19. We embark on our fundraising this year with a renewed sense of gratitude and respect for our donors and their willingness to help our school.
We are pleased to announce that this year's donations are being used for even more Chromebooks! We need to replace 50 more that are becoming obsolete. We also want to install water bottle filler stations in the three (3) remaining fountains to make it easy for students to fill their water bottles and stay hydrated throughout their school day. In addition, we want to support our preschool with large motor skill requests to ensure a successful start to all-day Pre-K next year!

will be greatly appreciated; however, keep in mind your donation may miss out
on any applicable sponsorship deadlines.
