Come Together For

Canisius Women's Lacrosse!

Despite having the 2020 women’s lacrosse season cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the absence of competition did not change our commitment to the health and safety of our student-athletes. Canisius athletics is dedicated to supporting our Golden Griffin student-athletes in their academic efforts and in their supervised training, done in accordance with health and safety protocols set by the NCAA, the College, and federal, state and local government officials.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused significant economic and budgetary challenges to all levels of collegiate athletics. The Canisius athletic department is incurring new expenses as we implement new health and safety protocols, while important revenue streams that support our 20 Canisius varsity  programs - including ticket sales, sponsorships and distributions from the NCAA - have been greatly reduced. At the same time, the day-to-day expense of operating a successful Division I college women’s lacrosse program have not changed. We are asking you to join us and “Come Together” in an effort to support the Griffs.

A gift of any amount to the Blue and Gold Fund designated to the Canisius Women’s Lacrosse “Come Together” campaign makes a difference. One hundred (100) percent of your gift will be allocated directly to our women’s lacrosse program.

In recent years, we have made significant progress in developing new standards to operate our programs, and now we are adding the responsibility of enhancing safety protocols to give our student-athletes and staff the best possible training conditions. Your donation will help fuel our program as our student-athletes continue to work toward our goal of winning the MAAC Championships!
