On and Off Fred 2019

A self-guided two-day tour of artist studios and galleries “on and off” Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas.

A fundraising campaign for Bihl Haus Arts
  • The mission of the ON & OFF FREDERICKSBURG ROAD STUDIO TOUR is to promote the work of diverse visual and cultural artists, enhance the appreciation for the arts in the community, and stimulate economic revitalization and cultural tourism in our neighborhoods.
  • Last Year over 2000 visitors attended. Approaching our 12th season, On & Off Fred is the longest running cultural arts event in the area. This year even higher attendance is expected due to the extensive advertising campaign, including radio and print ads in the Express News, Current Magazine, Out magazine, TPR, news segments, newsletters and banners to name a few examples.
  • As a donor your brand will be featured over 3 days—at the opening reception on Feb. 15th and during the two days of the tour--providing maximum exposure; furthermore, your ad will appear online and in the catalog. Because the brochures are mementos (many patrons have the catalog signed by the artists), your advertising has longevity beyond the 3-day event.
  • The On & Off Fred target audience and market specifically fits your distribution area. On & Off Fred attracts people both from this area and others who are unfamiliar with the area, thus it attracts new patrons.
  • Attendance at arts events generates income for local businesses—restaurants, retail stores, hotels. An average arts attendee spends $24.60 per event in addition to the cost of admission.-Arts & Economic Prosperity IV National Statistical Report.
  • The On & Off Fredericksburg Road Studio Tour is organized by BIHL HAUS ARTS, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Raising over $500,000 in donations and grants last year, the non-profit’s mission is to “create community through the arts.” Bihl Haus offers almost 40 classes each week free of charge at senior centers and residences across San Antonio through its signature  GO! Arts program, which helps independent seniors live independently longer. Based on that successful model, Bihl Haus Arts recently initiated Forward, Arts! for veterans with PTSD and TBI, a program created in collaboration with Vet TRIIP.  When you support Fred, you support your community!
