Want to help many in need of food? Volunteer Starkville is partnering with the Society of St. Andrew and the Maroon Volunteer Center to host a Sweet Potato Drop on Saturday, November 18th from 9 AM - 12 PM that will benefit local food pantries in our community in honor of Family Volunteer Day! 20,000 lbs of sweet potatoes donated from farmers will be dropped in the Commuter West Parking Lot parking lot next to the Green Houses near the intersection of Stone and Bully Blvds. on the MSU Campus. We will need about 100 volunteers to help bag these sweet potatoes and get them ready for food pantries to pick them up at the site!
This is a fun and easy service project for all ages, especially children with their parents/guardians. Don't miss out on helping those in our community who might not have enough to eat!
Email Daphne Knox at email@example.com to sign yourself, you & your family/friends, and/or your volunteer group up to serve! We only need 100 volunteers, so please be sure to register to reserve your spot.
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
No one has signed up yet, but you could be the first!
