YWCA Tri-County Area #Giving Tuesday

Responding to emerging needs of women and families in Pottstown and the tri-county area, and advocates for empowerment, racial justice and equality for all.

A fundraising campaign for YWCA Tri-County Area
YWCA Tri-County Area has been meeting the needs and challenges of women, youth and families in the larger Pottstown area since 1908. As the times have changed, so have the activities and services provided by the YWCA. But one thing hasn't changed and that is it's mission and focus of "peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people." That mission and focus is just as relevant today as it was in years past.
Today we find YWCA Tri-County Area supporting and empowering women and families through education and advocacy. Thumb stem girls

Ivy is confident that her toddler is nurtured and safe in the early childhood development center while she is at her job.

Amaira is excited to participate in the Healthy Pathways Project at her school. It's fun and she gets to learn how to make healthy choices in a world that can sometimes be confusing. Getting a chance to talk about sensitive issues in a non-judgmental environment helps.

Ryan is working hard, both in class and on his homework assignments, so that he can be prepared to take the GED test. It will take dedication on his part to be successful, but the instructors are patient and encouraging, and Ryan knows that earning the GED credential is the next step for a better job.

Carol enjoys the Women EXCEL meetings where she can network and connect with other professional women. The speakers and presentations always seem to address directly a need in her life or community.
