Annual Fundraiser and Community Event: 2-21-2021 9:00am - 12:00pm

A fundraising event for Yoga in Action

Event Information

The Yoga Mala is an uplifting celebration of community spirit. Since 2009, our yoga community has come together annually in a joyful fundraising event, complete with heartwarming reunions, tears of hope, hugs and kisses!  The three-hour yoga session taught by Yoga in Action faculty and other teachers in the community includes 108 Sun Salutes, chanting, and meditation and is open to all levels of yoga students.

The 13th Annual Yoga Mala will have a different look.  Our 2021 Mala will be held on February 21st and live-streamed from Rivermill Landing in Dover, NH as well as additional remote locations.     Our intention is always to bring our yoga community together around a common purpose, to celebrate the healing gifts of yoga and to build community resilience, together.   COVID-19 won't allow us to squeeze 200 yogis together in a room, but we look forward to cultivating the same type of energy and enthusiasm, virtually.  This year you can participate in the Yoga Mala from anywhere in the world!

Options to Participate:

Livestream Access:  Register for $50 and fundraise!  While this is an exceptional event on its own, the Yoga Mala is ultimately a fundraiser which Yoga in Action relies on to fund nearly 1/2 of our annual budget.  We ask registered yogis to reach out to friends, family and colleagues to solicit donations to fund Yoga in Action programs.

Livestream Access:  Register for $150 and skip fundraising!  We understand that life is busy. This is a guilt-free pricing option, where you pay a higher rate and leave the fundraising to others.  In essence, you make a personal donation, yourself.  (Please note:  While, you have no obligation to fundraise further, the system will still create a fundraising page for you.  This allows you to join the team of your choice!)

In-person Access:  By lottery $25 per chance!  There will be a limited number of spots available to participate in the Yoga Mala in-person!  Raffle tickets for these spots and other fantastic prizes can be purchased with your registration.

Yoga in Action provides free and accessible yoga classes. Our programs promote resilience in our community by supporting individuals living with cancer, individuals with disabilities, trauma survivors, people in recovery from substance misuse, people who are incarcerated and more.

We appreciate all of our supporters, present and past, who have helped Yoga in Action to ensure all people have access to the therapeutic benefits of yoga regardless of social, physical, and financial barriers. We envision a world where all people realize their power to connect, transform, heal and thrive through yoga.

Thank you to the Yoga Mala 2021 Supporters who make this event possible!
