Join us locally on October 5th, World Habitat Day for a virtual Build-a-thon to celebrate Habitat’s long standing partnership with Thrivent Financial! During #WorldHabitatDay, Habitat for Humanity draws attention to the important role decent housing plays in eliminating barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. Here in Sheridan we are doing this by hosting an all day build-a-thon. Throughout the day, you will hear from a local Habitat partner family, and learn various facts about Habitat for Humanity and the need for affordable housing as we build dollar by dollar. EVERY dollar donated is matched by Thrivent Financial, meaning DOUBLE the impact!
Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Faith Builds bring local churches together to raise roofs, walls, funds and prayers to build a house in partnership with a family in Sheridan County. It is an opportunity to see the miracle that occurs when God touches the hearts of new homeowners!
Our goal is to raise $5,000 throughout the week to directly benefit our Faith Build partner family, the Roques! Your support in raising $5,000 means that after the match you will have helped raise $10,000 for the Roque family.
You can support our Faith Build and our overall mission to build affordable housing in Sheridan County by participating in the following ways:
Make a contribution as an individual
Dedicate a portion of your missions funds to the Faith Build
Share the good news with your congregation and thank them for being a part of the Faith Build this year!
