Parish Ministries

To assist parish ministry in their program activities & building maintenance.

A fundraising campaign for Most Precious Blood Church

It is basically through different parish ministries that we are able to put into reality the mission of “making disciples of all nations”.  Therefore, all revenues of the parish are meant to provide the needs of the parish ministries and operations.  There are some ministries however that need some financial assistance which are the following:

CCD Ministry.

Children are taught the basic catechism.  This is from grades 1 to 8.  In the evening, they come for classes.  Presently, we have 30 catechists and volunteers.  Now our classroom building is getting very old which was built in the 1950s.  Windows in the four sections classrooms needs maintenance as they do not fit tight.  We need to replace the windows and we need about $22,000

Youth Ministry.

The youth ministry aims not simply the continuation of the basic catechism but to prepare the youth to receive the sacrament of confirmation.  Part of this program is Camp Emmaus which is done during summer.  Our young leaders together with other young leaders in the Diocese of San Diego participate in learning valuable leadership skills which will be handy for them in the parishes. Many of our youth cannot attend this camp because of financing, they need support.  For this alone, every year we will need about $5000

Liturgy Ministry.

Most of our liturgical celebrations are done in the parish church, like masses, baptisms, confirmations and other sacraments.  While the interior of our parish church was recently renovated, the liturgical things such as seasonal decorations, vestments, linens, sound system and other needs are either missing or getting very old.  So, we need to provide or replace some which will cost about $3000

Other Ministries

There are 6 buildings in our parish compound, the church, rectory, office/adorations chapel, small & big hall, classrooms. It is on these buildings that all other ministries, such as RCIA, retreats, seminars, meetings are being held. Since these buildings are getting old, they really need maintenance and repairs. Basic maintenance would cost in a year about $5000
