Soccer is About Service This Thanksgiving!
Sports teach our kids the value of communication, hard work, persistence, and competition. But that's not all they teach! The best players should be team players with a commitment to community and taking care of others!
Wichita United Select was invited to participate in the Premier Super Copa Tournament in Cincinnati Ohio this June. The tournament is by invitation only and is a huge accomplishment for these girls, however, it will take some extra funds to make the experience possible. But we didn't want that to detract from the needs many in our community face this time of year.
Thanksgiving is a time for families and loved ones to enjoy a meal in gratitude, but for so many of our community members, this meal is inaccessible. While our girls are enthusiastic athletes who play well together and are committed to their team, they are also dedicated to community service. They've decided to serve their community through this fundraiser.
Help our girls work together to raise money to support their community and, in turn, work towards raising money to help further the team's success. For each $15 turkey the girls are able to sponsor, an additional $10 will go to the girls' clinic fees.
Help us show the girls that soccer is more than a sport. It's about teamwork, community, and sportsmanship.
