On Sunday, October 16th, 9am
join us in Verona Park, New Jersey
with groups of friends and family
and walk together to raise funds and awareness for
families experiencing homelessness.
When you register to walk, you will receive a t-shirt that can be picked up at Verona Park the day of the walk only. If you are a Team Leader walking off-site, please contact Danee at [email protected] to arrange a pick up or drop off of bulk shirts.
Children 13 and under do not need to register.
We will meet at the Verona Park Boat House (located on the East side of the park) and we will walk the Lenape Trail Loop, which is a paved trail. One lap of this trail is 1.4 miles.
If you need assistance making a donation or setting up a Team Leader Fundraising page, please contact Danee Sarman at [email protected]
ABOUT FPE: Family Promise of Essex County’s (FPE) mission is to help homeless
and at-risk families achieve self-sufficiency by providing shelter, social
services, and housing assistance through a community-based approach. FPE
envisions a community in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the
chance to build a better future.
FPE began in 1988 as a
non-sectarian response to the crisis of family homelessness in Essex County.
FPE is an affiliate of Family Promise, which currently has over 200 affiliates
nationwide. In 2021, over 350 people received FPE services, and approximately
50% of this number were children. FPE recognizes that family homelessness and
poverty are complex issues that require comprehensive, innovative solutions.
Solving homelessness is not just about housing. Our holistic approach to the
crisis of family homelessness includes these areas of focus: prevention and
diversion, emergency shelter and housing and stabilization.
