In honor of Maggie's 20th birthday in April, Maggie's Mission™ invites you to give back and help those affected by COVID-19 by taking a Virtual Road Trip in your own home!
April 19th would have been Maggie Schmidt's 20th birthday. Maggie is the driving force behind Maggie’s Mission™. In her honor, we are launching the Homebound Virtual Road Trip Challenge to support our community and raise money for COVID-19 relief programs.
While we are stuck at home, why not celebrate Maggie's bucket list of traveling cross country, have some fun, and give back to those in need?
Here’s how it works:
- Get creative, be silly, and help Maggie's Mission fundraise. Use your imagination to transform your own space into a fun road trip destination. Record a video or skit of you and your family enjoying your virtual vacation! You can cover as many States as you want, in as many videos as you'd like. We suggest keeping videos to under a minute. The Challenge runs until May15th.
- Create your own GiveGab fundraising page and share the link where people can donate. We suggest a donation of $20 for Maggie’s 20th birthday, but any amount helps!
- Upload the video(s) to your social media accounts and tag your family and friends asking them to donate and take the challenge themselves. Tag Maggie’s Mission™ on your posts (@maggiesmission on Facebook and @maggiesmission on Instagram). Use hashtag #TheVirtualRoadTripChallenge
