We don’t like to make urgent
requests. But last week we experienced an unprecedented situation that
requires fast action.
Chicagoland was hit by
extraordinary weather, with temperatures reaching near-historic lows!
During these artic temperatures, our primary concern was the safety of the
infants, toddlers and children we serve. We closed our centers without
question on Wednesday and encouraged families to reschedule therapy
appointments on the other days.
It was the right choice, but this
extreme situation has a financial impact on Easterseals DuPage & Fox
Valley. While we anticipate weather-related challenges, we could not have
predicted the severity of last week.
The estimated lost revenue will be over $42,000.
Because we operate with a very lean budget, every dollar of revenue makes a difference in providing essential therapy services and covering our operating expenses. Please help us make up the lost revenue caused by the extreme week of weather!
