BOO! Got your attention? We just wanted to remind you there's a spooky side to rescue. Oftentimes, our new intakes come to us with injuries, parasites or long-term medical issues. But what about when they have behavioral issues?
That's where the incredible Stewie comes in! Don't worry, HE's not scary. But he came to us needing a little assistance in improving his confidence, social skills and resource guarding. With one look at Stewie's sweet face and stumpy legs, we knew we were committed to helping him. So, we decided to equip him with some new skills, and enrolled him in boot camp at Lone Star State K9. And wow - did he impress! In just a few short weeks, Stewie was able to master sit, down, place, heel, here, off, bang AND spin. He also learned a marker system (yes, good and no) so he knows when he’ll be rewarded for good behavior!
