Support The LIME Foundation on Giving Tuesday

Help The LIME Foundation support our Senior Activities Program, NextGen Trades & Auto Academies, and a home for our programs at the SoZo Student Center!

A fundraising campaign for The LIME Foundation

This #GivingTuesday, we are asking for your support. We are raising money for LIME for some exciting new things we are rolling out. Whether it’s $5 or $500, every penny counts.

The mission of The LIME Foundation is to serve the specific needs of the disadvantaged community across all ages and income levels by collaborating with key community leaders. Those served by The LIME Foundation will learn vital skills to harness individual potential in music, performing arts, construction careers, technology, and health.

We are raising funds to expand our programs at a year-round location in Rohnert Park called the SoZo Student Center. The center is a year round after school activity center for Rohnert Park teens. Our LIME Foundation programs will be housed at this center all year. Due to the overwhelming need for workforce in the construction trades, we will be training up to 60 additional students starting in Jan 2019. Our NextGen Trades Academy launched in 2017. Out of our five completed classes, over 63% of the eligible, work-ready students have been hired by local contractors.

We are proud to launch our NextGen Auto Academy in the Spring of 2019. Recognizing that the auto industry is experiencing the same lack of workforce as the construction industry, LIME will launch the program along with over 15 industry partners to help bridge this workforce gap.

This year-round center will also house our Senior Activity Program. This program has helped many community seniors change their dietary habits, aiding in the reduction of heart disease and diabetes. We complement our nutrition program with yoga classes to help increase flexibility and movement.

We hope you will join us this GIVING TUESDAY to support the life-changing programs The LIME Foundation is offering to disadvantaged neighbors here in our own community. Watch the above video to learn more about The LIME Foundation and what we're doing out in the community!

Thank you so much for your support and for believing in us.
