A Letter From The Warehouse Theatre Staff

For those of us operating in the non-profit arts sector, where ticket sales and concessions are a vital portion of our revenue and how we are able to keep our doors open, a closure and cancellation can be devastating and affects our staff, artists, and community.

As of right now for our Main Stage we had to cancel the last week of HEDWIG plus the entire runs of both 100 SAINTS YOU SHOULD KNOW and APPROPRIATE. We both of our Upstate Shakespeare Festival productions of OTHELLO and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST . The majority of our education workshops and partnerships have been cancelled due to school closures. Conservatively we have lost at least $87k in earned revenue and also face an uncertain future.

Now, more than ever, we need your support.

If you are in a position to help, a donation (no matter the size) would make a world of difference in helping our artists and staff continue to operate through this. 100% of your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. No goods or services will be received in exchange for your donation.

Many artists across the country, including ones that we employ, live paycheck to paycheck. They are freelancers or hold these jobs as secondary to help make ends meet. We feel it is our duty to do everything we can to support these artists and are compensating everyone who has lost work from shows we had to cancel and are paying the staff to work remotely.

Looking forward, we have already announced a great slate of shows for the 20-21 season. We're happy to say these packages are now on sale, early, to give you another way to support your favorite regional theatre.

Our plan is to continue producing relevant, professional, entertaining stories, and providing an outlet for our community. We eagerly await the chance to welcome you back to our space. Until we are able to see you again please stay safe, stay informed, and stay positive. We will get through this stronger than before, and these stories and opportunities to gather as a community will continue to matter more than ever.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for being here for us.
