The UpReach Bale-In

Help UpReach fill the barn with hay before the winter months!

*August 2016 Update* Thanks to a huge outpouring of generosity and support from so many, UpReach has met and exceeded our goal of raising $8,400.00 to purchase two tractor trailer loads of hay (1,200 bales)!!! We cannot thank you enough for allowing UpReach the ability to "bale-in" the barn before Old Man Winter arrives. However, The Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting an above average snowfall and frigid temperatures. We humbly ask you to please keep sharing, and spreading the word as additional donations help ensure that UpReach has enough hay onsite to avoid the challenges of getting hay delivered in poor road conditions, etc. Thank you from all of us at UpReach, especially the herd who sends horsey kisses your way!

Maddi P, age 17, has big goals. She wants to attend college at either Boston University or her top choice of Santa Barbara University to be a Juvenile Probational Officer. Born with a Lymphatic Tumor  wrapped around her arteries, Maddi P. has found great therapeutic benefits from participating in the UpReach Therapeutic Riding program. She states, " When I horseback ride it is a therapeutic way to soften up my lymphatic tumor, and provides me with some piece of mind, and helps me to work out my hand a little bit  and get some function. Every year I get a very bad infection in my hand where my lymphatic tumor starts spreading to my vital organs. When that tissue is not worked out and I'm not using my hand as much, [the tissue hardens] and my infection gets worse. I noticed that  [last winter] when I wasn't riding at UpReach and my infection was getting so much worse. I was in pain every day and I noticed that riding Yama had made such a difference."

Just like Maddi P, individuals of all abilities come to UpReach to participate in a variety of equine assisted activities and therapies to work towards increased independence and overall wellness. UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is able to provide Maddi and other individuals with the opportunity to participate in programming thanks to our fabulous partners, our 15 specially trained equines.

Please help UpReach "Bale-In" the barn with hay for the winter months! The amount of $8,400.00 will allow UpReach to purchase two 600 bale truckloads of hay! You are able to make your tax-deductible donation through the donation levels to the left. You are also able to make a donation by visiting www.upreachtrc.org,  or by writing a check payable to UpReach with "Bale-In" in the memo and mailing it to PO Box 355, Goffstown, NH 03045. Want to make your donation over the phone? Call Veronica via (603)497-2343. On behalf of Maddi, the entire herd, and all of us at UpReach, THANK YOU!
