Hey North Junior High Community!
We are excited to announce the return of the BIG GIVE, a little earlier than usual! Last year, in our second year as a new PTO, we raised an impressive $32,800 towards our $40,000 goal. This year, we're aiming to reach our $40,000 goal.
The BIG GIVE will run from December 2024 through January 2025. Your generous donations will directly impact North Junior High this school year, allowing our staff to immediately use the funds to enhance community and learning experiences for all students. You'll also have the flexibility to choose the year you'd like your donation to apply to.
We have three ambitious investments that will make a BIG impact for our North students and staff! Let's show up in a big way to support North and achieve these meaningful goals:
- Goal 1: Raise $17,500 to invest in Student Connection and Belonging.
- Goal 2: Raise $10,000 to invest in Teacher Support.
- Goal 3: Raise $12,500 to invest in Indoor Spaces and Activities.

YGOAL #1: Add opportunities for student connection and belonging - $17,500
Student clubs, teams and events foster a sense of belonging and togetherness, help kids practice social inclusion, build connections, and strengthen their sense of self. This goal invests in hosting monthly after school events, bringing live DJs to school dances, decorating the halls and classrooms for special occasions, throwing spectacular all-class end-of-year celebrations, and contributes extra funds to school clubs.
YGOAL #2: Support our educators to support our students - $10,000
Our educators are the backbone of our schools and give SO MUCH to our students. This goal invests and extra $100 in every North teacher foundation account to enhance classroom activities that foster Viking values, and allows us to continue hosting monthly teacher appreciation events.
YGOAL #3: Improve indoor spaces and activities - $12,500
Our North staff have BIG dreams for North Jr. High! This goal would GIVE them a much needed head start to invest in several indoor areas at North, including; 1) New logo’d folding chairs to replace the current ones that are 15 years old 2) A true score table in the gym to replace the current fold-up table. 3) New banners in the gym to better showcase North athletic and music achievements. 4) Creating a museum case, similar to Boise High, with historical North artifacts, and; 5) Mounted TV’s outside the office to stream information such as announcements, important dates, and track records.

Donations to The BIG GIVE are deposited in North Junior High PTO's Boise Schools Foundation account and are tax deductible. Boise Schools Foundation is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established to raise and manage funds for the Boise School District.
