The Big Give

Donate today to help an adult learner acquire the skills necessary to help them and their families succeed!

A fundraising campaign for Each One Teach One

1 in 4 San Antonio adults cannot read this sentence

In 2017, San Antonio was rated the least literate city. Over 250,000 San Antonians are labeled functionally illiterate, meaning they cannot perform basic everyday tasks such as reading a prescription, due to limited literacy skills.

As the only non profit in San Antonio with adult literacy as its' mission, we are committed to reducing the illiteracy rate in San Antonio. To help strengthen adults, families, employers and the community. We envision a San Antonio where every adult has the literacy skills necessary to be better family members, productive members of society and skilled employees or employers. We do it one learner. one tutor. at a time.

This year we focused on providing opportunities for our students in decreasing their largest barrier to access-transportation (bus passes), the ability to determine their academic future (High School Equivalency scholarships and practice tests as well as computers), to provide adequate space for our growing population, and to sustain the dedicated, hard working and knowledgeable staff whom our students have come to love as mentors and family!

Please support us in our goal to serve the community and make a difference by making a donation today!
