Technology for E.W. Griffith Elementary School

We are raising money to support the technology at our school.

A fundraising campaign for E.W. Griffith Elementary School

Griffith Elementary School was built in 1962.  We are located in the Meadows Mall area near the center of Las Vegas.  About half of our students are English Language Learners and all students receive free and/or reduced lunch.

Technology is an essential too for learning and communication.  At Griffith, we want to keep our students up to date with current technology.  Our students use the internet for research, IPads, and laptops are used to help increase language and literacy skills, and students write and edit written reports and essays.  Students even take their online state assessments through technological means.  As our technology ages, keys need to be repaired, printers and copiers jam and break down, we need funds to replace and repair items to make our students and teachers technology that can support their instruction and learning.

This is where you come in.  We need support to enhance all student's educational experiences.  With your help, we can update and maintain our classrooms' technology.  We are in need of working headphones with microphones for the programs that our ELL and beginning readers use daily.  Many of our printers are near being beyond economical repair, and we desperately need them so students can publish their work after perfecting their written response and revising skills.  Working copy machines are also essential for our teachers to provide books and resources their students use for home practice.

Your contribution can positively impact a student and change their life for the better!  Any contribution will be greatly appreciated!  Help us own our learning, remember who we are, and get there the Griffith Way!
