Support Play for All in our Community!
The Finger Lakes Toy Library, Inc. is embarking on our very first annual fund campaign! Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit offers high-quality toys for all families, caregivers, and organizations in our region to borrow. Here are some highlights:
FLTL opened its doors in June 2017, and in just 5 months is already lending to 84 local families, 130 children, and is growing every day.
We offer membership on a “pay what you can honestly afford” system, with no minimum, keeping membership available to all. Currently, a full 25% of our members fall at or below the poverty line.
We are currently an all-volunteer organization committed to growing an already strong, diverse, and vibrant community resource.
In addition to lending toys, FLTL is offering our free Playtime programs at area libraries, community centers, and festivals. We are collaborating with a dozen different local organizations, and bringing play opportunities to hundreds of area children.
In the spring of 2017, prior to our opening, we received grants from: the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library, Sustainable Tompkins, and the Howland Foundation via the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.

FLTL is a champion for the environment! We have recycled over 500 toys by accepting donations from families who have outgrown them, and we purchase toys that are manufactured with sustainable and safe materials.
