The Ancestor Project experience is designed to guide people affiliated with the African Diaspora towards healing and restorative justice; healing from the legacies of African enslavement and colonialism.The mission of the Ancestor Project’s Nkyinkyim Museum is to archive and preserve African history and intangible cultural heritage, promoting healing through art, education, and pilgrimage. Ancestor veneration is a major thread throughout varying levels of specific knowledge, and pilgrimages form one aspect to connect and transform understanding of the multi-generational wounding and associated legacies of disempowerment and economic harms.
