Support our after-school program

Our mission at the Somali Bantu Community Organization is to educate and empower refugees and immigrants in Buffalo and Erie County.  One of the ways we have been successful in our efforts, is through our after school program.

The organization has developed and implemented an after school program in an effort to support and enhance academic skills for grade school children.  This program runs Monday through Thursday from 3-5pm and serves over 40 students, ranging from kindergarten to high school.  Service learning students from Daemen College and Canisius College as well as volunteers from around the city of Buffalo help the students with their homework as well as academic and social skills.  

Your donations will allow our after school program to continue to support these struggling students so they may be successful in their classrooms as well as become community oriented individuals who add a richness to the dynamics of our ever changing community.
