Support Family Promise: End of Year Giving

Help Family Promise end family homelessness, one family at a time.

A fundraising campaign for Family Promise of Gallatin Valley

Our End of Year fundraising makes up a significant portion of our operating expenses. Over the past year our expenses have increased in our fight to keep families safe and sheltered during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Gallatin Valley families are in desperate need of support during this difficult time.

It has been a difficult year for everyone, but for families experiencing homelessness the fear and uncertainty that the pandemic has caused is tenfold. We are doing our best to support the increase in need of families in the Gallatin Valley, but we need the help of supporters like you to offset the unexpected costs of doubling our shelter capacity, providing hotel rooms for families, providing groceries to families across all of our programming, and more.

As you carry out your year-end traditions, we hope you’ll take a moment to renew your support for Family Promise.

Your investment last year gave Family Promise the ability to expand our programing to include shelter and all of our services to pregnant families like Megan and Carl during this difficult time. We cannot thank you enough.

Please take a moment to learn about Megan and Carl's experience with homelessness and how Family Promise helped them find safety and security:

In February of 2020, my boyfriend Carl and I found ourselves in love, inseparable, and newly pregnant. Neither of us had children before or even thought about the possibility. We both saw the pregnancy as a blessing and were very excited to start a new chapter in life.

When Coronavirus started to get more serious things started getting more and more difficult for Carl and I. My hormones were going crazy, work was slowing down, and the bills were piling up. Throughout the next few months life got completely flipped upside down and caused us to face some of the more challenging times in our lives. We needed help.

Your generosity to Family Promise gave us the help we needed. Our first step was to find stable housing and consistent jobs. That's when I stumbled across Family Promise’s phone number and called right away.

While we waited a little over a week for a room to become available with Family Promise, they paid for us to stay in a hotel, gave us food and gas cards, and overall made us feel like there was a light at the end of the tunnel. From then on for the next 90 days we were taken care of financially, emotionally, and given some of the best guidance and resources that we could have asked for.

Although the program was NOT easy, and it took a whole lot of determination and hard work, I can say from the bottom of my heart that Family Promise changed my life in so many ways.

The program is something I have never seen before or even knew existed. I don't think that there is anything I could ever say or do to repay the incredible support we have received.

There are so many families that are in need of guidance, food, and even a place to sleep at night. Thanks to Family Promise, that is made possible.

Thank you to all who support Family Promise and families like mine,

Megan, Carl, and baby Harper
