The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund (DMSF)
Since 1989, the mission of DMSF has been to support Chicago's brightest, most economically disadvantaged students in attending some of the most rigorous high schools in Chicago and around the nation. DMSF provides scholarship and transformational programming to over 400 Murphy Scholars—the leaders of their generation.
DMSF is able to offer tutoring to every Murphy Scholar. Private, group and virtual tutoring is offered at times that work within the busy schedules of Murphy Scholars. In 2015, DMSF opened the safe and inviting DMSF Tutoring Center to allow for even more face-to-face, Scholar interactions. This year alone, 166 Scholars—40% of all Murphy Scholars—have recorded 900+ combined hours of tutoring.
