We are named in honor of the four Flying Stinsons: Katherine, Eddie, Margaret and Jack, all pioneer flyers who were nationally famous before and during WWI. We also honor Lt. Benjamin Foulois each March. He made the first all-military flight in 1910 at Fort Sam Houston. Finally, we honor our Founders and the Wright Brothers each December at Stinson Municipal Airport, the second oldest airport in the country.

About the Organization

The Daedalian Foundation is a charitable organization committed to the future of military aviation. We provide scholarships nationwide to college ROTC cadets who aspire to serve as military pilots; we teach young students to fly; and we sponsor educational awards and motivational camps to inspire youth to pursue military aviation careers. We mentor and develop young people who will fly military jets and become aviation leaders. We are a non-political foundation formed in 1959 perpetuating the spirit of patriotism, love of country, and high ideals of self sacrifice exemplified by the American pilots of World War I
