Spending time with those we love, enjoying a delicious meal, snuggling up in front of a fire, gazing at the shimmering lights and falling snow - these are the marks of a happy holiday season. For many, this is the best time of the year.
For animals abandoned and left alone, it is exactly the opposite. SCHS works round-the-clock throughout the cold winter months to provide a safe, warm haven for animals in need.
More than this, we strive to bring light and love into the lives of the dogs and cats that celebrate the holidays in the shelter.
How can you help us this year? There are many ways!
1. Donate! SCHS simply does not exist
without the financial support of our friends. Please consider making a
tax-deductible donation to our organization this holiday season. Every
dollar goes toward our core mission, "to give animals a new leash on
life."
2. Volunteer! During the season of good-will, one of the best gifts you can give us is your time. By volunteering, you are changing the life of an animal and making a difference in your local community.
3. Foster! Adopt! More than anything, our shelter animals would love a home for the holidays. Open your heart and home to an animal in need. When you do, we promise your life will be changed for the better, forever.
