STEAMd YOUniversity Program
By 2010, there will be 2.1 million US job openings in STEM fields, with a significant shortage of qualified applicants to fill them. Providing quality access to STEM education and careers to all children – especially girls, low-income youth, and students of color – is an economic and social justice imperative for the United States.
The STEAMd YOUniversity program seeks to help girls discover and explore their talents and passion in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) to secure their future and become major players in the STEAM talent pool!
The STEAMd YOUniversity program is currently in several schools with requests from additional schools to implement the program. Training materials, engineer kits, technical models, computers, software and coding programs are needed as we continue to roll out the program.
