Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled is a nonprofit that serves more than 1,600 people in Erie and Niagara Counties. We offer more than 40 programs that support children, adults and seniors and help them lead the most independent lives possible. We also have over 40 residential sites throughout Western New York.

This year, our goal is to raise money for our mini-grant program. Mini-grants are funds used to fill gaps in services, programs or
supports for the people served by our agency. Each year, our
Community Services Support Foundation receives multiple
requests for mini-grants to enhance services, add new programs, or provide new experiences for the people we support.

Last year, some of the mini-grants that were awarded included funding for:

  • A yoga program to help people we serve reduce stress and try a new activity
  • Equipment and software to create a recording studio so people in our programs could express creativity and experience music therapy
  • Digital cameras to help those we serve to explore their interest in photography while capturing their daily experiences as well as sight-seeing trips around Buffalo
  • Our annual Creating Connections Picnic, where the people we support can connect with local vendor

These mini-grants provide the people we serve the opportunity to explore different
possibilities, whether it's learning a new skill or finding a new hobby.

You can help us reach our goal and give the gift of possibilities by donating today!
