The Coddington Road Community Center is proud to partner with Kyoshi Gail A. Lajoie from Cayuga Lake Cayuga Lake Seido Karate to bring karate to the South Hill area.

Age: 6-8 years of age
Dates: Tuesdays in October/November (no class Halloween 10/31) - 8 weeks total!
Times: 6pm to 6:45pm
Location: Coddington Road Community Center, 920 Coddington Road, Ithaca 
Cost: $80 per child for 8 classes

Class Description: Seido Karate is a style of traditional Japanese karate designed to train mind, body, and spirit. Students will learn kicks, punches, blocks and forms appropriate to their level of experience, as well as the history and philosophy of a traditional martial art.  Specialized curriculum for students ages 6-8 allows them to progress steadily as they acquire the fundamental skills of balance, strength, and mental focus. Class size is limited to 15 students.

Instructor: Kyoshi Gail Lajoie, 5th Degree Black Belt. Kyoshi Gail Lajoie began training in Seido Karate in 1993, achieving the rank of Shodan in 1996. In that same year, she began teaching classes for adults and children. In addition to teaching classes at Cayuga Lake Seido Karate, Kyoshi Gail also teaches classes in Seido Karate and Personal Defense at Ithaca College.
