In the spirit of Christian Stewardship the Parish Center at St. Thomas More provides space for our Bereavement Ministry which coordinates all funerals and receptions. Space is also provided for the Knights of Columbus monthly breakfasts, Friday Lenten dinners, and monthly meetings. The Women’s Guild is active with monthly luncheons, board meetings, quilters, game days, and more. Meetings for Mental Health Ministry Network, Anti-human trafficking, Christmas Angels, CPR classes, Scout ministry, Spirited Senior multiple activities, and MANY more. We serve multiple needs for Brother Benno’s, Solutions for Change Homeless Shelter, Catholic Charities, St. Bonaventure Mission, and Blood Drives to name just a few. Our very large Faith Formation program covers areas from Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation, plus religious classes for ages 3-18, Middle and High School to Young Adults, as well as Bible Studies!
During the 17 years we’ve been in the Parish Center, our Pastoral Staff has worked in offices with only partitions for separation. Sound-proofing these offices is not an option, and it has become increasingly more difficult to have confidential conversions and meetings with many parishioners in need. These conversations and meetings (including personal, financial, grief, and more) are very important and our parishioners deserve privacy afforded by real offices. We have the foundation for our new Parish Offices that needs to be completed. This would provide our parishioners with the privacy to which they are entitled. This would also free up room in our Parish Center for Faith Formation to expand to facilitate growing needs for our youth and help for our catechists. We are a fast growing Parish and are doing our best to keep doing our best!
