Each year, college scholarships are awarded to deserving graduating seniors from Ridgewood High School for study at an accredited institution of higher learning. The Scholarship Trust Fund committee selects students based on academic achievement, community service, extracurricular involvement, and financial need.
The Scholarship Trust Fund was established in 1959 with a bequest of $1,000 by five members of the Woman's Club of Ridgewood. Since then, tuition costs have skyrocketed, making it harder for graduates to make ends meet while paying back student loans. Funds for this annual scholarship are raised through our fundraising efforts, smart investments, and donations from community members, former scholarship recipients, and current and former Woman's Club members.
